A blog in its puppy stage

To blog or not to blog...that has been the question for some time. And today, I finally decided that it was time to enter the world of blogging.
I have to admit, that no matter how computer savvy I though I was, this little project of creating a blog has been a bit more of a challenge than previously thought, and it has definitely contributed to the re-evaluation of  my level of savviness.
Though I realized first after I conducted the necessary research in order to have any clue of what to do, that all the information I found on the web regarding building a blog was written solely by men. And they all made it sound as if it was as easy to build a blog as it is to change a baby's diaper. And, considering that a project like this which is obviously a task for the left hemisphere of the brain, which arguably is the part of the brain men use better than women in circumstances like this, then no wonder that serious communication problems arise when a woman tries to follow a man's instruction on how to build a blog!
Here's an example: "A blog can be built in less than twenty minutes". Well, yes-and no! It is true if you are only concerned with the technical aspects of the blog site, initially- which I can assure excludes about eighty percent of the women, including myself.
Because when women think about creating a blog, most are primarily occupied by envisioning how the blog will look once all the pictures of their children are uploaded, and how to present their favorite recipes on the site. Therefore, we tend to play around with color and themes forever before we actually start building the blog. In other words, we are initially busy with all the aspects and tasks of the blog which our right hemisphere of the brain controls. Ladies, do you agree? Do we not think about color schemes and the selection of images which will make our blog appealing before we think about the organization and actual lay-out of the page? Therefore, gentlemen, the apparent use of the other side of the brain interferes with our ability to build a blog at the same pace as you and your left-brained logic.
The reason I am highlighting this little issue is to prevent another female from feeling utterly computer challenged, as I did, when I realized that it had taken an additional two hours to finish a task which a male blogger claimed to take only (yes you guessed right) twenty minutes.
On a more positive note, there is another reason I am highlighting this issue: It brings to light the underlying basis for my blog, the fact that there is a need to blog about the same issues and topics which men blog about, but with a need to translate it into a language which women can understand- and vice versa.

So here it is, a new blog in its puppy stage, written by "The Great Dane", a writer quite excited to begin exploring any and all topics between the earth and heaven which may be interesting to women, and to the men who are interested in them.
And while on the topic of the writer and the chosen pen name "The Great Dane": Yes, I am indeed Danish; and no- there is not anything particular great, grand, or "grandiose" about me. It is, however, an easy name to remember, and thus the increased chances of recurrent traffic to the the blog for the possibility of  frequent and wholesome discussions on the topics presented, may, in itself, be "great"...
